“Don’t disrespect women, period. They’re twice as evolved as most men will ever be. Don’t take your shit out on them, either. It’s a sign of weakness, and they aren’t punching bags. They’re a sanctuary, and you need to figure that out quick.” 🎤🫳🏽

I have mixed feelings about this series. I understand it’s beloved, but so much of the relationship between Tobias and Cecilia is toxic AF. From the constant lies and flat out refusal to be honest to the angry hate sex, this couple just doesn’t win any awards for favorite book couple.

On the flip side, I absolutely loved hearing about how Tobias grew up and his unwavering loyalty to his brother. He won so many points from me there. Sadly, the points were quickly detracted when I listened to his POV after Dom and Sean discovered his relationship with Cecilia. My man did them DIRTY. He’s selfish and hypocritical.

Regardless, I found myself very invested in this story. I don’t know if I loved it, but I think reading about characters you don’t necessarily relate to is important.
