This is a banned book! Intended for a YA audience, it's a memoir by a black and queer man, the story of his upbringing (in the bosom a warm and loving extended family) through his college years. Clearly I'm not whom the book is aimed at, but it's easy to see how teens and young adults in these minority groups (one or the other if not both) would find this book a tremendous boon. And it's criminal that the powers that be saw fit to ban a book that has such obvious value.
