Better Than the Movies by Lynn Painter

4.25

4.25 stars!!!!
better than the movies was very predictable, slightly cheesy and overall very enjoyable!
the .5 is because at times the main character emitted "i'm not like other girls". but liz wasn't that annoying so it was okay.

wes, wes, wes.

what i wouldn't give for a boy next door, "enemies" but he's really pining, friends to lovers trope.
i adored wes omg. i love books when it's so obvious that the love interest has been into them for the LONGEST time, but the mc is either oblivious or has another "love interest."

there was the teeniest hint of fake dating, which i gobbled up with a wooden spoon. anything fake related (which sounds super weird) enthralls me. lengthens my lifeline.
the only thing that i think could've been avoided was "putting down" (soft putting down) the other girl at the end. i don't think that was needed to show liz how much he cared when the evidence has been in front of her for eons.
speaking of evidence, the FLASHBACKS?? when they were KIDS?? CRYING AND KICKING THE WALLS. when everyone in her life tried to show liz that wes has been into her for the longest time?? yea. i needed that.
