This book was so fun and cute! It absolutely lives up to the description of a rom-com, the entire thing felt lighthearted and fun. The stakes are almost nonexistent which makes it an easy and fun read. The book itself is rather short and an easy read. The author is able to seamlessly switch points of view without it feeling clunky or out of place. This felt like if a Jane Austen novel were written in modern times, the writing has a similar feeling and on occasion, I had to remind myself it was published just this year! All the characters were fun and bright, you feel so terribly for both Regina and Diana and their initial circumstances, yet the whole book feels so light-hearted that the upset was washed away quickly. The romances are charming and sweet, a first love for Diana and Maxwell reconciliation for Jerome and Regina, and a second love for Lady Gordon and Monsieur de la Tour and all of them intertwine beautifully. I felt more and more giddy with each page I read. This was a delightful fun read and I cannot wait to read the rest of Suzanne Allain's books!
