This book feels a little bit like filler. Jacob and Noor are on the run from Leo's men in New York city and get rescued and faken back to the Acre. They begin to research how to find V for Noor. Then suddenly Jacob, Emma and Enoch are needed to stop a war between the big three clans in America with Jacob tracking a Hollowgast. Shockingly, Fiona is alive and they are on a path to save her and stop the wights being lwd by Caul's second in command Murnau. It seems to all be over and Jacob and Noor go together to V, who reached out to them. But it wasn't her. And now they are in danger and Caul is free!
