This book was a childhood favorite of mine and I couldn't say anything bad about it if I tried. My brothers and I loved it so much that our dad routinely made us "green eggs and ham" (using a few drops of food coloring) for breakfast on weekends and that is a very precious memory for me.

It's a great book for teaching kids careful reading because the story is fun and, while the repetition may make some kids impatient enough to guess the repeated phrases or ad lib to get ahead, they generally will determinedly stick it out to the end just to see whether or not Sam-I-Am can get the main character to eat those darned green eggs and ham.
