5.0

I need to start off by saying that this book ripped me a new arsehole. It was raw, brutal, harrowing, soul destroying, torturous and all-consuming. But if it wasn't absolutely incredible.

Ashley Cutler..... let me just take a moment to scream into my pillow.
This man wholly had me in a chokehold from start to finish.

The tension. The angst. The LONGING. God, it was hot as hell and simultaneously devastating. The slow burn was delicious!

Immersion 5/5
This story consumed me for 2 days straight. It's been all I think about, and every moment I'm not reading it, I'm confused and aching in my chest that I'm not aboard Jade on the wide ocean with the men that adore me.

Characters 5/5
Bennett is fiery, seductive, vulgar and headstrong and I love her. No one but her could endure the things she endured. Incredible woman. Priest with his words and ways that melt you to the core. Ashley with his fierce love and loyalty. Just perfect. I love this trio dearly.

Plot 4.5/5
There was always something happening. I was never bored, which is an incredible feat considering many scenes are set in the same place for long periods of time. The ending definitely threw me and was not what I expected AT ALL. I don't dislike it, it just came so far out of left field it left my head spinning.

Spice YES/5
The slow burn was sizzling hot and steamy and the build up was so worth it. It had just the right amount of spice to plot.

I really loved this book. I cried at the end not because it was sad, but because it was over and I already miss it. The next time I read it, it will be by the sea. 💙
