The Scorpion's Tail
by Douglas Preston, Lincoln Child
I enjoy the books by these authors, definitely some more than others. As someone born and raised in New Mexico, I appreciated learning some more history about our beautiful state. However, I was put off by the often unnecessarily unflattering descriptions of places here.
The story was entertaining enough, despite the authors' tendency to overuse pedestrian phrases and colloquial language. I also found the ending to be absurd, with a completely unnecessary appearance by a character from the authors' other books.
