This is very much in the vein of what I call “gross woman books” that are mainly indulgent character pieces on women being gross. It is probably the most engaging gross woman book I’ve read, but it is really bad to bring up interesting things but not actually have anything to say about them. The whole thing about the mommy bloggers could have gone somewhere but never really did. This book is basically 300ish pages of Tanner promising that she is going to have something interesting to say at some point and then the book ends.
