Let me start by stating that I am sad it took me so long to read this book. My girlfriend L.J. got me this book for my birthday a little over a year ago. And I just picked it up.
I loved Callie’s and Sin’s dynamic. There is kidnapping, fighting, and out-whitting. Callie is just as strong and bullheaded as Sin. Both just want justice for what they feel has been done wrong to them. Both feel they have no other option than the one in front of them. But both are willing to find the truth by any means necessary.
I felt starting this book that Scott struggled a little. The writing was not bad at all. It had just felt like she knew where she wanted to go, but was struggling to get started. Which all of us have been at this point at one time or another. We are immediately in the middle of drama and a kidnapping. I really didn’t know what I was going to think about our Sin at this point.
By the end of the third chapter I was smitten. I was rooting for these two to get together. As the story continued and grew. We see ups and downs. And learn more about each character, and what they are truly like. I will say that Sin has a secret that he tries to hide from Callie. And I will say it will make you want to cry. But no spoilers!!!!
All in all I gave this book a 10/10 rating. I was so happy to find out this is book one in the “Notorious Ladies Of London” book series. I am very excited to read more from Scott. She has a beautiful way of painting a detailed picture without overdoing detailing it. And drawing the reader in, as she keeps you on the edge of your seat.
