Pretty dark themes with intense 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️. Surprisingly though the plot was still well written. The pace between plot and character development was perfect imo. Nothing dragged out superfluously.
The twist and cliff hanger were fairly predictable but that didn't detract from the enjoyment.
I typically struggle with enemies to lovers back to enemies but I think the flashback chapters and tri-POV helped keep me engaged to where it felt like the characters were out of the loop but I wasnt. It was like because I knew we just had to get them to be vulnerable with each other, it didn't feel like an annoying miscommunication trope but just new people learning each other. It was actually enjoyable to witness.
