Beautifully haunting, gut-wrenching, soul crushing, and heroically hopeful. This book forever changed me. I will definitely be reading more Vietnam War era stories! They are not told enough, and this one makes me want to hear more of them. I will forever be jealous of people who get to read this book for the first time. Grab tissues... I sobbed for the last 150 pages!
