Tales from the Café by Toshikazu Kawaguchi

⭐⭐⭐.7/5

Even when we lose someone we love deeply, we still have to keep living. Not out of obligation, but because it brings comfort to those who’ve passed. It’s a beautiful reminder that choosing to live with intention and joy is a way of keeping their memory alive. That idea really stayed with me.

What I loved most is how all the characters are connected; even if those links are subtle. At first, their stories feel separate, but as things unfold, you start to see how their lives gently overlap. It’s never forced or obvious, but those quiet connections make everything feel more meaningful and whole.

There were moments when I wasn’t totally sure where the story was going, but as I kept reading, things became clearer. It’s like a puzzle that clicks into place the deeper you go. Overall, it’s a really heartwarming read. I felt a whole mix of emotions—grief, warmth, peace, even hope. If you liked the first book or are into thoughtful, emotional stories with a quiet kind of magic, I definitely recommend this one.
