I'm still new at writing reviews/ratings. Being that this is a memoir - I am inclined to give all 5 stars - who am I to judge someone's story. I listened to this book and think that added to the experience greatly since the author did the narration.
Parts of the story made me wince, including when I could feel my own racism rising up.
There were so many relatable moments in this story and that helped me see how much racism divides us and our childhood experiences. I'm grateful to have read Joseph's story.
