Lost Girl by Leia Stone

I really don’t understand all the low reviews? People saying they didn’t understand the plot, what didn’t you understand? It’s simple, Demi had to fight through 3 territories to get home safe all the while she had to battle supernatural beings along the way. After a lonely travel through Troll Village, she finally met Sage and Walsh and they helped her get back. This book was more about the journey, showing her becoming stronger and a bit more badass.

There wasn’t much romance but there wouldn’t be if there was an impending civil war between witches and a larger war with the Fae and vampires. I don’t get why people hated Sawyer so much in this, he was literally showing his weakness and begging for forgiveness from Demi despite his Alpha status. This is HUGE for for an Alpha to do. His instincts mean he just wants to wrap her in bubble wrap and make sure she is safe but she is more powerful than he is (even more so once she learns how to use her powers).

We got confirmation that Demi was from the Alpha bloodline and that she was the sole remaining Alpha of the Paladin wolves. I actually thought she was being a bit of a dick by not even going back to the Paladins to ask what she can do for them when every Paladin she has met has helped her or saved someone she cares about. I’d of gone to them and said I would be Alpha but from Werewolf City and if they needed me I’d go to them. She literally sees her absence is killing them but she just sends them food and blankets? I’d be disappointed too if I were the Paladin wolves. I can not see them just accepting her now she wants to use them to fight the vampires and faes.

Demi should have mentioned that she thinks it was a dark fae mixed race witch who cursed the Hudson family not the Paladins, maybe sawyer and his family would have been more relaxed about the situation? She needed to be more forthcoming because now Sawyer is going mad that she has gone into the wild lands to find the Paladins she basically fobbed off.

I’m excited for the next book but I doubt it will go smoothly.
