I enjoyed the first part of the book when the storyline was building up, and it seemed like it was going to be like the older Anita novels before all the sex sidelined the main storyline.
The sex scenes and talking about therapy and progress take up way too much of the book. It seems like a lot of filler that could be taken out to have more of what should've been the main storyline with the new ancient evil.
There is nothing wrong with having sex in the book or talking about bettering oneself. Just stop making it take over what was being set up to be the main plot.
I definitely enjoyed the books more before Narcissus in Chains. That's when too much subplot and filler was added to almost each book after, for me.
