TL;DR: A weirdly structured but definitely well-meaning continuation of the fantasy series centred on the consequences of war

I remained fond of the world, characters, and themes in Earth Logic, even if the reading experience is still a bit weird. It defies clear narrative structure and we are intentionally kept at some distance from the main characters and their thoughts and feelings. The commitment to peace appealed to my sensibilities and I think was well handled even if it will be controversial (there is definitely an argument to be made that this promotes conciliation and compromise with colonisers). I enjoyed the new characters we got, adding a bit more perspective to this conflict, and actually found the ending to be remarkably conclusive and satisfying - very unclear where the series will go next.
