Okay so at first I wasn’t convinced about this one, it was a bit too b00b!e and objectifying for my usual tastes, but by the end I was convinced. The art is totally freaky à la Junji Ito and the concept of all of a sudden seeing the scariest things beyond your imagination and trying to act like everything is normal?! Miko ended up being a very engaging character with quite brave reactions even though she’s terrified. I think I’ll continue reading this series and/or watch the anime. It kind of reminds me a bit of The Haunting of Hill House tv adaptation with the seeing extremely scary things and the characters try their best not to react, that premise/style resonates with me.
