A Festive Feud
by Maren Moore
I’m on the hunt for mt favorite Christmas book of the season and unfortunately this was not it.
I was looking for something nice and this is definitely more on the naughty side. I know people will really love that but I wanted a bit more tension build up and more connection with the characters before we started jingling any bells. If they hadn’t been enemies at the beginning, it wouldn’t have been an issue but I just had a hard time rooting for characters that seemed to hate each other that much at the beginning.
Outside of that, this was very cute. The small town is fun and the family feud is over the top in a comical way that fits in well with Christmas shenanigans. The amount of cheesiness in this novella feels right up Hallmark’s lane which I love.
