What do you get with AI billionaires, a lost dog, and a drunkard half brother? An overlong Orphan X novel, where bit players and “is this how humans feel” take up way too much space.

Action, as always, was intense, including a long chase through LA that was a little hard to follow but doubtlessly would be great on the big screen.
