skywalkersyd 's review for:
Vampire Academy
by Richelle Mead
I cannot stress to you enough how prejudice I was towards this book. When I was first told to read this book a few years ago I rolled my eyes at the thought of reading another silly YA vampire book, but I caved a few weeks ago and took this book out of the library with very low expectations.
I WAS SURPRISED.
ITS GOOD. ITS HONESTLY GOOD. Trust me I’m as surprised as you probably are. Right now you’re thinking:
wow sydney wow this book cant be good it has a shitty name and a cliche girl on the cover i will never trust your taste in books again!!!!1!11!!
Please. Give this book a shot. The female characters are badass and confident and sexy and wow I wish I was them.
I recommend this book to: Teen girls (or guys if you’re into these type of books) between the ages of 13-20 especially if you like supernatural novels, or if you liked Twilight back in the day (like me) and want to read an actual bad ass vampire novel with kick ass characters.
