I love this! I ended up flying through this book in just a few days. I love the world of Ralia and how casually queer it is, I loved the political intrigue, and I found the plot to be both exciting and surprising.
Most of all, I love Velasin and Caethari. Both characters - and especially their relationship - is the true highlight of this book (along with Markel, of course). Vel and Cae have such a sweet and satisfying slowburn. If Foz Meadows wanted to turn this into an entire series, I'd happily read a dozen more books about these two and how their relationship continues growing!
