Haunting Adeline by H.D. Carlton

This was the first dark romance novel I read, and I absolutely loved it. I’ve read a lot of other dark romances (manwhas, mangas, & manhuas), so this wasn’t a jump into the unknown for me. I definitely recommend people always check their triggers before reading.

I loved the little side mystery storyline. As a lover of mystery, even when I was younger it was nice to try to figure out who did what. I definitely solved it before it was revealed, but I blame that on years and years of crime drama watching lol.

I will say Addy was definitely not a fave fmc for me. I just felt like she made the worst decisions constantly and I found myself continuously yelling at her through the book. She wasn’t relatable at all for me in that aspect, but I wouldn’t doubt she is to others.

Zade, whilst I know he isn’t everyone’s favorite, he is mine. I love this man. He truly did make me fall in love with the darkest parts of him. My only qualm is, why you gotta be drinking grandpas whisky like that. Rude. Lmaoooo

Overall, this is one of my fave st@lker romances, and I highly recommend it IF you can handle dark romance and you’re not new to it.
