“People can save you… Always remember that. They do it all the time. Except it’s usually in ways we’ll never understand. But that doesn’t change what they did.”

I love a good familial story that stretches generations and I love that aspect of Greenwood. The 1934 sections were my absolute favorite portion of this book, I just wish my love for it carried through to all of the others. It’s a lovely novel, but a bit disappointing at the end.
