I had huge expectations going into this one - I knew I was going to eat it up based on feedback from trusted folks I align with & had been saving for a rainy day. It didn't hit the way I wanted - maybe my expectations were too high. Still prefer Veronica Speedwell. BUT - will still continue on with the rest of the series.
Great descriptions of the different lands we were traveling to, along with how the different faeries appeared. Wendell read like an old homosexual man to me & that then made the 'romance' with Emily seem cringy.
