Review for my reread: I loved this book when I read it in 2019 to the point that it made me cry on the commuter train. Well, turns out I love it just as much — maybe even more — with my reread. This is TJR’s best novel, no questions asked. It is a quiet story with a huge conflict, but still it centers around family, self-identity, & what true love really means. I was gutted once again while rereading it, tears & all, but I understand it so much differently now than I did before. Books like this are so special. I love Emma, Jesse, & Sam, & I cannot wait for the film adaptation!
