I adored the first 2/3s of this book. The struggle our protagonist goes through while never losing sight of the beauty around her was energizing. Her son, seduced by money loses sight of beauty and the story ends abruptly when he realizes what he has lost. The right reader will be engrossed in this book. Others will get bored with the cabbages.
