A Veil of Vines by Tillie Cole

5.0

Reading the summary, I didn't think I would like this as much as Tillie Cole's other books. I don't know why I though that because again Tillie Cole has taken my heart and stomped it to pieces.

**Before I talk about the book, I would like to assure people that this is NOT a love triangle. She never has feelings for Zeno and he her so there is no love triangle **

This book is a beautiful mixture of everything a girl can dream of: beautiful wedding, handsome prince, heart-melting romance and royalty. Caresa, a modern day princess has been engaged to Prince Zeno since childhood. The novel begins with her moving into one of his homes in Italy to prepare for the upcoming wedding and coronation. After less than an hour of her being there, Zeno leaves for Florence, showing her what kind of marriage they will exactly have. So in his absence the next morning, she goes for a jog and stumbles upon the shy winemaker of her favorite wine, the one the prince's empire is basically built on.

From there, Caresa and Achille dive into a beautiful and heart warming romance. It was sad and sweet and just beautiful and I don't think I blinked once through the whole book. It just made you keep wanting to turn the page.

I won't say anything about the ending, but I will say everything turned out well, perfect and beautiful. The ending was a little neatly tied up, which kinda took away from the rest of the book, believing there would be a more exciting ending. But it was still perfect in the sense that it was happy.

I wished there was a big dramatic wedding scene between her and the prince in which Archille interrupts it. But I guess that's kinda cliche and I would see why Cole wanted to take another direction.

Another 10 star from Tillie Cole! I need to buy this in a physical copy
