The House in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune

5.0

I wish I could give this book 8 stars. I haven’t read such an inventive story in a long time; Klune did an exceptional job of not only making this world feel real but of realizing EVERY character, their own stories, motivations, desires, etc. I read to be transported and I thought I was really on Marsyas Island in the house in the cerulean sea. I would also die for any of the children, Zoe, Arthur, Linus, Helen, J-Bone, etc. And if I don’t get a spin-off of Chauncey’s adventures as a bellhop I WILL RIOT!!
