I would have given the book a 2-star-rating if it wasn't for the end. It did nearly manage to make me cry after all. I appreciated the message it was trying to send, and I love the theme, however it was executed poorly. The characters were one-dimensional. They were not really people, but there to fulfill a role. The misogyny was rampant, as was the classism. I both like and dislike this book.
Moderate: Suicide
Minor: Acephobia/Arophobia, Sexual harassment
