I liked 2-3 of the women. A lot of the book is about the history surrounding these women and not their food.... the author always tries to circle back around to food though. Eleanor Roosevelt punished her husband with bland food cooked at the White House. Eva Braun was in a fantasy world with Hitler, and she was on a perpetual diet to stay thin and child like. Likewise Helen Gurley Brown "fed" her eating disorder her entire life, staying skeletal and thin....Interesting book as food surrounds us and is in our world every day - why shouldnt a book be written about what someone eats!!
