"Or Else" by Joe Hart was a free book I got several months ago but never got around to reading. It is worth the price I paid for it. 😉 It was an okay book. It is marketed as a thriller, but I didn't find it very suspenseful. There were several red herring characters introduced to try to make the whodunnit question more complex. I think it would have been more beneficial to minimize the number of characters and develop the ones needed for the story more completely. I had a pretty good guess to the suspect early in the book (and I was correct), but I didn't guess at the motive and it wasn't fully revealed until the end. However, the motive was flimsy at best. The storyline was good enough to keep me turning pages, but I didn't fall in love with any of the characters and the plot was very linear and pretty weak. I had two library holds come in today, so I'm hopefully going to read something more engaging now.
