Is it because I’m in a book slump? Maybe, I don’t know. I tried liking this book. The premise seemed fun, and I like a good orc book. But the writing didn’t have any finesse. The editing was not good. There were a lot of times where I was pretty sure the author was using words in incorrect ways. The characters were not very interesting.
