Goodreads has this marked as my second reread, when in reality it is a number larger than I care to admit. It was in my pre-Goodreads life. As such, no review has ever been written for it and now I will rectify that.
Reading from an adult perspective over a teenager one has highlighted some of the issues for me. It’s a bit insta-love-y. The writing is actually not the greatest. Bella seems younger than 17.
Despite all that, it’s still a 5-star read. Nostalgia? Maybe. This book did a lot for me though. It’s a story that’s purely entertaining and opened my eyes to how interested I was in the genre of paranormal romances. It’s a part of me that will always live in me, regardless of how many years pass and how many critiques this book gets.
Despite the insta-love and despite how young Bella can sound sometimes, they are a cute couple that genuinely cares for one another. The book has great secondary characters.
All in all, regardless of what everyone thinks of this book, I will forever be rereading this book.
