A Duke, the Lady, and a Baby by Vanessa Riley

2.75

In all honesty a really solid historical fiction with a lacking romance. My main issues being that I felt like some of the story felt chopped together at point and that Riley should’ve dropped some of the side plots that won’t be expanded on in later books. As well as the slightly confusing switches between first and third person point of view, have heard it is more clear in the audiobook due to the accents though. However it was a pleasure to dive into the historical romance genre with this book as the mature writing proved many of my worries of this genre wrong. Will definitely be seeking out more of the genre from now on.
