A beautifully written memoir that reads very much like a coming-of-age novel. Lamya discusses her upbringing and developing an understanding of their personal identity. She uses her experiences to explore cultural identity, white supremacy, queerness, and gender roles and intertwines it with theology from their Muslim upbringing.
