The chemistry- undeniable
The connection- unbreakable
The anticipation tingles- uncontrollable
Camille Ashwood and Dusty Tucker. They have always been in love with each other but they were young and didn't know how to handle young love and distance so they broke apart.
Dusty traveled the world seeking adventure but he never forgot his roots at Rebel Blue Ranch and when he decides to finally settle down that's where he chooses to do so.
Cam is engaged to Graham but it's merely a marriage of convenience in order to appease her parents (they are not great) but when he no shows at the wedding, Cam is left feeling embarrassed and Dusty is the only one who knows what to do. After helping her, they decide to be friends and try to navigate living in town together but something is bubbling just under the surface between them and soon enough that bubbling turns into a rolling boil and they must push past fears and old wounds in order to move forward.
I knew from the start I was going to love this second chance romance! You don’t know exactly what happened in the past between these two initially but the flashbacks provide you with a swoony and epic love story that you know is going to crash and burn but you can't wait to see how they pick up the pieces together.
I loved how Dusty just showed up for her always and he knew exactly what she needed. They were so in tuned with each other, even after 15 years apart, you know the connection they had was strong. It was swoony and I couldn't have asked for a better ending to the Rebel Blue series!
