Tell No One by Harlan Coben
4.0

I was in the mood for a thriller, so I picked this one off my shelf. It hit all the right spots for me. The mystery was intriguing enough to make it a page turner. The main cast was full of very interesting and well written characters. I was able to predict some twists but not all of them. And the end had plenty of resolution and tied all the main plot lines up.

If you're looking for a quick thriller read with pretty decent writing and a lot of twists, you'll be satisfied with this one.

Spoilers ahead!!!

So a few other things to discuss. I held back on giving this 5 stars because by the end, things are twisting so much that it starts to not make a ton of sense. I think if I read it again, the final twist would make a lot of plot holes show up, and besides that the twists were what made me interested. A second go around wouldn't have nearly as much impact.

But a big saving grace for the novel was how good so many of the characters were. Beck was an alright main character. People like Tyrese, Wu and Shauna stole the show though.

It was interesting that the main cast were all tied so strongly to just one or two key events that set the whole plot in motion. I haven't decided yet if I think it would've been better otherwise.

And finally, the author really surprised me with two bits that were honestly outstanding. The first was the section were Wu describes the death of his mother. The second was Griffin Scope's big segment on the love for his deceased son. There were more parts sprinkled throughout, but those two moments were excellent.

This book is worth the time. Give it a shot.
