Somehow an easygoing read while bringing all the tension and build up of a mysterious world and the enemies within. A hunter and hunted must unexpectedly work together to overcome a greater darkness but find they are only drawn together through the darkness itself. 

I was totally engrossed in the cultural backdrop (a fresh breath of air after so many Eurocentric stories) and storytelling style of Faizal. She laces together descriptive sentiments and brevity to create a level of mystery for us readers but leaving us with our hearts wide open. 

Ecstatic to learn there’s a sequel because that ending was brutal 😂

Zero spice level but lots of tension. All romances are hetero.
