i really wanted to enjoy this but ultimately ended up being disappointed. about halfway through i started to get annoyed with all of the 80s info dumps. WE GET IT, THE 80S. the main protagonist, wade, was unlikable and for most of the story, acted like an elitist asshole and the dude had some seriously unhealthy obsessions. some of the "plot twists" seemed like they were just there for convenience sake and the romance in here... not it. i had a hard time picking this book back up.
