Beowulf by Unknown

okay. good god this book took me forever to finish even though it is only like 110 words?!?! i have a couple things to say. for one, my opinion is certainly not professional in this realm. the book encompasses thee anglo-salon viking culture, from a storytelling point of view. this isn't necessarily the genre i would choose, so shoutout to my english teacher for making us read this. it is fascinating to read this, and try to imagine that these men really did live like this. the values of interconnection, loyalty, heroism, pride and bravery are strongly established in this epic. beowulf himself represents a great man, with pride yet humility which makes him a phenomenal leader. however, this is a book i never would have read outside of school. it did open my eyes and expose me to a new culture i hadn't learned much about before. okay. i have to go write an essay on this now.
