One of the better fantasy reads I’ve read this year. I feel like most of the fantasy reads I’ve been reading have fallen more under YA where this one’s writing style is more mature and it flows better. I like how it was more of a hint of fantasy with a good storyline rather than the whole premise of this story being unrealistic. The love story was super cute and I like the speed that it progressed and the revelations that came with it. Although I was really looking forward to the reveal of what the letter Roman sent before Iris left for the war and when it finally happened I was like … that’s it? I’m looking forward to the second book and the resolutions that come with it.
