This book started off a little slow but definitely picked up along the way. It was cool to see Mary’s perspective in all of this, being that she is Jesus’ mother. The POV this takes reminds us of how attached Mary was as his mother, and how hard it was for her to understand what was happening around her and Jesus’ life. All she wanted to do is protect him and this book does a great job of reflecting the thoughts Mary probably had during these times. At some points, I believe it wasn’t focused so much on Mary I think that was sometimes hidden. Overall though great read and definitely brought out my emotions
