Unlike some others I’ve actually enjoyed Brandon Fraser’s narration. While he did struggle with a few of the voices, he demonstrated great range considering the plethora of characters in this book. When I first started the first chapter I gasped at how mesmerizing his voice was. No wonder Funke chose him as her muse for Mo. the book is magical, sad, and adventurous. I wish there was more action but I believe Funke’s storytelling was limited considering the intended age range for the book. This made me fall in love with the series again, and made me remember why I loved books in the first place. A highly recommended edition.
