My (Brief) Thoughts On: Buffy the Vampire Slayer #3

1. This is not an important plot point, but Giles plays guitar at the local coffee shop on the weekends, and he forgoes the vest and tie for a simple jacket and button down combo. I want everyone to know this because I am in LOVE WITH IT. Giles is starting strong as such a babe.

2. As a Buffy fan, I love the idea of Buffy having a creature that helps her slay vampires. I am very into it. Also, Camazotz is very cute when he is not raging and destroying property. If Boom Studios made a plushie of him, I would buy it. Give us more Buffy and Camazotz, guys!

3. Our friends are so good in this episode. What great friends! Willow and Xander come to the rescue, and Buffy is just so shocked and grateful because she's never had help before. This is pure, and I love it.

4. Even in this version of Buffy, Giles is a proud dad, and Buffy doesn't know how to handle it. I love these two disaster people.

5. God, I am such a fan of Drusilla being the Big Bad and Spike simply being her minion. This is fun, guys! Drusilla is still Drusilla and slightly unhinged, but she is also more powerful and scarier than we've ever seen her be. A worthy adversary for Buffy, surely.
