Reread. I'm nostalgic and this is even better than I remember. Percy's character arc? *chefs kiss* The world development? *excellent* This series is so, so good.
Two criticisms: One thing I've noted rereading HOO and now this is that sometimes non-white features like dreadlocks (the giants) and looking to be Middle Eastern (Medusa) are used for villains. It's not good. On a less serious note, why is Mr. Brunner's Latin class teaching Greek myths? Shouldn't he teach Roman myths?
