I enjoyed this! It was a nice departure from my usual pop-thrillers. I found our protagonists Piper and Lazarus to be compelling characters, and their 'unlikely' friendship was really endearing. The plot hooked me immediately, and I appreciate that Methos clearly comes from a legal background; legal proceedings felt thorough and believable to a layman like me. The pacing was a bit slow in some parts for me, and I felt the ending could have been more dramatic. Overall, it was an enjoyable read, and I'm looking forward to book #2 (hoping for more Russo Bianchi...heart eyes). 4/5.
