I didn't know what to expect in Alfie, Darling, but it certainly wasn't a truly amazing story that was very emotional, freeing, and dark. Effie has a way of building a unique world with her stories and this one was no different. It started off with enemies to lovers and had me a little mad, but understanding at what happened as it needed to happen for the story to continue. This book was absolutely freeing in a way as Harriet's story resonated with me and I bawled like a baby when her demons were freed. I can say I'm entirely in love with Alfie, Petros, and Harriet. I look forward to more by Effie.
