Seduction of a Highland Lass
by Maya Banks
Healing Their Wounds
I read this several years ago. It was nice to revisit Alaric and Keeley with their quick attraction and a forbidden love. They are electric, even in the dark ages. I love them together! I also love that we get to see how Ewan and Mairin are getting on.
They are in quite the predicament as Alaric is loosely betrothed at the start of their journey. I do appreciate that they make a conscious decision to make the most of the little time afforded to them. Then, they plan to separate once he's married to Rionna. It really is bittersweet.
The marriage to Rionna is for the purposes of sealing an alliance for his clan. Neither is invested beyond the benefits it provides. Both deserve better.

Nay, I'll not set her aside.
