I think this book had potential. I appreciate characters with a lot of depth but I just felt that this book exaggerated the characters, unlike other authors who can make intense characters seem human and natural. In this case it was hard to relate to their humanity, and I was constantly aware of the fact that these were fictive characters/something the author invented.
